It’s easy t to see why this is one of our most in-demand tours and we’re pleased to again be heading to the Flinders Ranges to take the Pichi Richi train.

It’s always a great trip – travelling by historic steam train on the original Ghan line, winding through the magnificent Pichi Richi Pass. With the continued wet weather through winter, we’re fortunate that the landscape is in such excellent health, providing an ideal time to travel through this section of the Flinders.

One reason this tour is so popular is that we don’t just travel on the train. We also spend an entire day exploring the area’s scenery and history. We experience Warren Gorge with its magnificent rock walls. We hear the tragic story of Hugh Proby and visit his grave in the outback. We take in the superb views from the Buckaringa Scenic Drive, plus see the remains of ghost towns well away from the sealed highway. To experience this dramatic region in a very special season, come with us!

This combined departure tour travels 2 to 5 September and is selling fast, so be sure to read the itinerary and the reserve .
