There is something magical about sitting outdoors as the sun descends, enjoying incredible music and singing. That’s what the Opera in the Alps experience is all about – world-class entertainment in a beautiful outdoors setting!

2016’s event was great, so we’re excited to be heading back in 2019. We travel via Stawell on the way and Swan Hill on the way back. Our base is at Albury –
convenient for the Opera in the Alps, but also for exploring the fabulous area around. This holiday travels from the 17th to the 23rd of January.

This year there are 3 amazing tenors performing:
Mark Vincent had released 6 albums before he turned 20! He is a winner of Australia’s Got Talent, released a duet album with Marina Prior (and a sold out national tour together), performed in the stage productions Dirty Dancing and My Fair Lady directed by Julie Andrews.
Shanul Sharma has made the incredible transition from ‘heavy metal’ to opera – singing around the world, performing in numerous operas and winning awards. He has most recently been performing in operas in Italy, including The Barber of Seville.
Nicholas Jones has most recently been working with Opera Australia, but also spent time with the State Opera of SA performing in Tim Winton’s Cloudstreet – his performance was described as “astounding”.

One of the wonderful things about the Opera in the Alps is that it also features the emerging singing talent of the Opera Scholars Australia – it’s a great opportunity to hear the next generation of performers. I hope you can join this fabulous tour!

Please book early! This tour needs to be booked before Christmas. It is highly unlikely that we will be able to accept late bookings in the New Year. To see a detailed itinerary of this tour, click here or call us and we’ll send you out a copy.
