Yes, I’m getting to escape the office again on a tour of my choosing! This time I’ve chosen a trip to one of my favourite places in Australia – Tasmania!

To make this trip special, I have concentrated on the northern part of the island, and included some attractions we don’t normally visit. This itinerary includes a big variety of places and activities that I think will prove to be very memorable.

For example, we stay for three nights in the north west of the state at Smithton giving us the opportunity to visit Woolnorth, a property right at the north-west tip, that enjoys some of the cleanest air in the world.

From Smithton we also divert for a day to Arthur River, on the west coast. Here we take a cruise along the river to see a very special part of the state. The Arthur River area has never been logged, so the forest we travel through, known as the Tarkine, is in its natural state. Many people have cruised the Gordon River, but not many get to the Arthur River. That means we get to cruise in a beautiful, smaller boat with real character, enjoy a barbeque lunch in the rainforest, and with luck we might even spy some sea eagles!

Other highlights include seeing the incredible (and massive!) Tasmanian freshwater lobster, and discovering the home of the first woman elected to the House of Representatives and to serve in Cabinet (oh, her husband also served as Prime Minister!).

If you would like to join me on this tour please give us a call as soon as possible. We’ll be travelling in February next year.
