The Pilbara covers an area of over 500,000km and extends inland from Broome. It was brought to many people’s attention through the movie Red Dog, which showed off its incredible scenery and atmosphere.
Although the Pilbara is well known for iron ore mines, it is much more diverse than this. There is stunning, pristine coastline, rugged and dramatic outback country, awe-inspiring rock formations and great natural beauty.
The towns of the Pilbara all have their own unique character, and the area is host to some incredible experiences. For example, meeting the dolphins of Monkey Mia is a once in a lifetime experience.
With such a large region, we’ve carefully planned our tour to ensure we see it in comfort. We fly into Broome and explore this fascinating remote location on the coast. We tour through the coastal areas from Broome all the way to Perth before flying home again. It creates a sensational 15 day tour, designed to be exhaustive without being exhausting!
We are touring this superb part of WA from the 5th to the 19th of August – a perfect time of year to be here. Click here for a detailed itinerary.
