Locally grown and full of flavour
Do you remember when dried apricots were plump and bursting with flavour? These days imported fruit makes up virtually all dried apricots available in the shops, and there’s just no comparison with how the fruit used to taste. Well, there’s a grower that is producing top quality dried apricots, and they’re not far from Adelaide!
Aussie Apricots are located by the Murray at Mypolonga. We are delighted to be taking you to see this wonderful SA farm, where the fruit is grown, dried, packed and sent out to retailers in SA and WA. As part of our visit we’ll hear the story of Aussie Apricots, see the packing and production areas, plus have a tasting. There is also a range of other products available using their wonderful fruit, and there will be the opportunity to do some shopping if you wish.
After our time at Mypolonga we travel to Murray Bridge for a two-course lunch. In the afternoon we’ll head back towards Adelaide, exploring away from the freeway in order to enjoy the scenery around.
You’ll love this taste of how things used to be – and are again!
