Today, we are heading to a small town that was originally named after a town in Kent, England that has a rich history of agriculture.
The new name might indicate that there is a small stream nearby, which is true, but in a different way that what you might think. As the leaves turn, we venture to a place that once extinguished fires but now ignites palates.
After our visit, we make our way to our lunch destination. This name may sound like a type of nut, however it’s far from something you’d find in a snack bowl. We enjoy a relaxed lunch here, before winding down with a scenic drive back home.
Pick-up locations and times for April:
- 8:15am – McLaren Vale Lodge, McLaren Vale (Thursday 24th April only)
- 9.00am – Bus stop 4, Rosetta Village, Maude Street, Encounter Bay
- 9.05am – Bus stop 1, Stuart Street, Victor Harbor
- 9.10am – Bus stop 7, Hayborough
- 9:15am – Elliot Gardens, Montpelier Terrace, Port Elliot
- 9:25am – Bus stop 12, Middleton
- 9:35am – Seachange Village, Gardiner Street, Goolwa
- 9:37am – Goolwa Ampol, Cadell Street, Goolwa
- 9:40am – Goolwa Stratco, Hutchinson Street, Goolwa
- 9:45am – Thornbury Park, Willmett Road, Goolwa Beach
We expect to start set downs in Goolwa at approximately 4.30pm, finishing in Encounter Bay around 5.15pm. McLaren Vale set down will be approximately 6.00pm.
