Our first destination is the vibrant Barossa Farmers Markets in Angaston, where we’ll have morning tea and time to browse local crafts, baked goods and produce. Next, we visit Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop for an engaging talk and a chance to purchase some of her renowned gourmet products.

For our first course of lunch, we’ll enjoy freshly baked goods at the Sunrise Bakery in Angaston. We will then indulge in desserts at Melba’s Chocolate Shop, paired with tea and coffee – a sweet treat amidst the rustic charm of the Barossa.

Our afternoon includes a scenic drive around the Barossa Valley, taking in views from Mengler’s Hill Lookout, offering panoramic vistas of the vine-strewn landscape.

The day winds down as we check into the Barossa Weintal Hotel (08) 8563 2303, our accommodation for the next two nights. Here we will relax before gathering for dinner, reflecting on the day’s experiences and the culinary delights we’ve enjoyed.

Day Two – SUNDAY 18 MAY 2025

Today begins with a hearty breakfast, energizing us for the day ahead.

As we leave the resort, our journey takes us to Clare, just in time for a delightful morning tea, setting the tone for a day filled with gourmet experiences.

Arriving in Clare during the renowned Gourmet Festival, we’ll immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere, visiting wineries where the region’s finest wines are showcased. This festival is a celebration of local food and wine, providing a perfect backdrop for our culinary exploration.

Lunch will be enjoyed in town, where we’ll have a chance to relax and indulge in some local specialties. After lunch, our journey continues to Seppeltsfield, where we visit Vasse Virgin and the Jam Factory, known for their exquisite artisan products and vibrant arts scene.

The day concludes with a scenic drive back to our accommodation at the Barossa Weintal Resort, followed by dinner where we can share our experiences and enjoy the hospitality of the Barossa.

Disclaimer: At the time of writing this itinerary, the Clare Gourmet Festival program had not yet been released. However, Endeavour Tours will carefully select the best wineries and venues from the program to align with our schedule and ensure a memorable experience.

Day Three – MONDAY 19 MAY 2025

Our final day in the Barossa starts with a lovely breakfast at the Barossa Weintal Resort, setting us up for a day of local exploration.

We farewell our hosts and take a leisurely stroll down Tanunda’s main street, enjoying some free time to browse the charming boutiques and artisan shops that line this picturesque thoroughfare.

Following our morning explorations, we gather for refreshments with fellow travellers, sharing stories and experiences from our trip.

Our next destination is Gully Gardens, where we dive into the delights of local produce featuring dried stone fruits grown in their heritage orchard.

Lunch is at one of our favourite venues, the Wanera Wine Bar in Angaston. It is a cosy spot known for its exquisite dishes and fine wines, perfectly capturing the essence of the Barossa’s culinary scene.

In the afternoon, we visit the Barossa Cheese Company for a tasting and chance to pick up some gourmet souvenirs. This visit offers an insight into the artisan cheesemaking process and the region’s rich dairy heritage.
