Day One – WEDNESDAY 9 JULY 2025

Our festive escape begins this morning with home pick-ups before heading into the picturesque Adelaide Hills.

Our first stop is at Beerenberg Farm, where we browse their farm shop filled with locally made jams, condiments and seasonal delights, and enjoy a delicious morning tea. Next, we travel to the gentle hills of Biggs Flat for a guided tour of Jurlique Farm. This biodynamic farm is the source of some of Australia’s finest natural skincare products. We’ll learn about their growing and harvesting techniques and the plants used in their premium skincare range.

By early afternoon, we arrive in Murray Bridge for lunch, followed by a short scenic drive to take in views of the river and surrounds. We then visit the Captain’s Cottage Museum, where we explore fascinating displays of local history and early settler life.

We check in to our accommodation at the Bridgeport Hotel (08 8532 2002), perfectly situated by the riverfront. After some time to freshen up, we gather for a relaxed dinner at the hotel, ready to embrace the festive spirit of our Christmas in July getaway.

Day Two – THURSDAY 10 JULY 2025

We begin the day with a hearty breakfast at the Bridgeport Hotel before heading to the riverfront to board the Four Knots Murray River Cruise.

This gentle and scenic cruise offers stunning views of the Murray River’s tranquil waters and red gum-lined banks. Morning tea is served onboard as we soak in the peaceful beauty of the region.

After disembarking, we return to the Bridgeport Hotel for a special highlight of our tour — a traditional Christmas Lunch. With all the festive trimmings and good company, it’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Christmas in July in style.

In the afternoon, we visit the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery, home to a rotating selection of contemporary and local art exhibitions.

We then make a relaxing stop at Serenity Nursery, a charming spot in an historic setting offering beautiful plants, gifts, and homewares.

We return to the hotel with time to unwind before gathering for a lighter dinner, rounding off a day filled with festive cheer, fine food, and scenic moments by the river

Day Three – FRIDAY 11 JULY 2025

After breakfast, we farewell our hosts and begin the journey home with a delightful day of sightseeing along the way.

Our first stop is at Aussie Apricots, where we enjoy a short visit and browse a tempting range of local dried fruits and handmade treats.

From here, we continue to Mannum for morning tea before taking in the sweeping river views from Maynards Lookout.

We continue along the river to Nildottie, where a short stop allows time to enjoy the scenic vistas across the mighty Murray.

Next, we travel to Blanchetown, where a delicious lunch is served at the local Blanchetown Hotel.

In the afternoon, we make a sweet stop at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, where there’s time to sample and shop for artisan chocolates and local treats.
