Spiky and delightful
November is a wonderful time to be out exploring, and we’ve got a fabulous tour for this great month!
This morning we’re travelling south, heading for the southern vales and beyond. We stop for a picnic-style morning tea, before heading into the back streets of McLaren Vale.
Tucked away is a fun and quirky place called Cactus Creations. The owner, Angela, has created something quite unique here. Angela has a passion for cacti and succulents, and combines this with her prize-winning pottery work. She is looking forward to sharing her passion for these fascinating plants and also the passion behind the art she creates. Her work is remarkable, and has won numerous prizes including first prize at the Royal Adelaide Show for her hand-created pottery. As an added bonus Angela has a friend showing her macramé work.
If you enjoy a little shopping there is a wealth of options here, and as we get close to Christmas it’s a perfect chance to pick up something truly unique.
Continuing south we make our way to the Fleurieu town of Yankalilla for lunch – a hearty two course meal with time to enjoy and chat. In the afternoon we explore some of the stunning scenery this area is famous for, before making our way back to the suburbs. The views and countryside make for a refreshing day out.
It’s going to be a fun day! Don’t miss out!
