Furry friends & hills views
Meet the people who find pets their fur-ever homes
Do you love animals? Then you’ll love our day tour this October! This month we are visiting the Animal Welfare League, where animals without a home are matched up with new owners who will take them on for life.
The Animal Welfare League of SA is a highly respected animal charity, who have a strong commitment to the very best treatment of our furry friends. They care for approximately 12000 cats and dogs each year. Their current site was opened in 1976 by the then premier Don Dunstan. It provides re-homing services, boarding kennels, a dog grooming centre, a vet clinic and more. They are opening their doors to us for a special tour around, so we can get an insight into the important and effective work that they do. It is an inspirational visit, and wonderful to see so much passionate work being done.
After our visit to the League we head into the hills for a hearty two course lunch. We can settle in to enjoy our food, and chat about our morning’s tour.
In October the hills are looking superb with the delightful spring weather, so you can be sure of wonderful scenery during our afternoon drive to cap off a fascinating and fun day out.
