Hill’s Bushfire Recovery
Join us in supporting Hill’s businesses to recover
How about a day out having a great time which also helps other people? We’ve all seen and heard about the bushfires in the Adelaide Hills. With the recent rains the hills are starting to repair and the bush is beginning to regenerate. However, it’s a long, slow recovery for businesses in these areas, with the government advertising the #BookThemOut message through social media to encourage us to support affected areas. That’s why we decided it was important for us to head for the hills to assist. Every dollar we spend in the hills makes it easier for a business to keep running, and for staff to be employed.
On this trip we are heading to four excellent hills businesses. We visit the fabulous Woodside Cheese Wrights who produce a superb range of high quality cheeses. We can try some of their cheeses and have the opportunity to take some home as well. Just next door to the Cheese Wrights is Melba’s Chocolate Factory, so we can satisfy our sweet tooth as well.
A little further across the hills is the town of Gumeracha, and we’re enjoying our lunch at the local hotel. Following lunch we are stopping at the Lobethal Bakery to shop for locally produced fresh goods to take home.
This tour will take us through beautiful areas untouched by fire, as well as those areas that were affected. We’ll see how the countryside is recovering, while assisting locals to keep going.
Come along for a great day that makes a difference for others.
