Are you looking for a holiday that’s a little bit different, visiting some fascinating towns in areas with good scenery? This new holiday ticks all of those boxes.
Our Best of the Central West tour takes in the wonderful Central West area of New South Wales. It focuses especially on three main centres: Cowra, Orange and Dubbo.
Cowra is well known for its gorgeous Japanese Garden – a beautiful place, with stunning trees and delightful water features. It provides a peaceful memorial to Cowra’s wartime link with Japan when a prisoner-of-war camp was located here.
Orange, like Cowra, is the centre to a productive agricultural and horticultural area. Its countryside offers fabulous views, and it has a rich heritage from its involvement in the gold rush days. Orange has fascinating streetscapes reflecting both its heritage and its current prosperity.
Located on the Macquarie River, Dubbo has grown into a substantial regional city. It has all the facilities you’d expect, but there’s lots more to this centre. One of the highlights is the Taronga Western Plains Zoo where we get up close to a range of animals.
So for a great holiday with lots of variety in a beautiful part of Australia, book a spot on this trip and look forward to a great time away! This tour travels from the 19th to the 27th of April.
