If you have ever wished to see the amazing Lake Eyre – Australia’s largest salt lake – we have two tours heading in that direction. But you’ll need to be quick!

Lake Eyre is huge – around 9,500km2 – and famous for the transformation that takes place when it receives water, and for its incredible colour and texture when it’s dry. The best way to see Lake Eyre is undoubtedly from the air. And both our tours include a flight over the Lake.

If you enjoy getting off the beaten track, and don’t mind a bump or two on a dirt track, you really need to take our tour on the Oodnadatta Track! This famous track follows the route of the old Ghan railway line and the tour includes a scenic flight from William Creek out over Lake Eyre. This trip travels from the 20th to the 26th of August, but is booking extremely quickly.

Alternatively, if you prefer a little more comfort and fewer bumps on dirt tracks, our Opals, Ore and Lake Eyre tour is ideal. We visit outback towns such as Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka and Coober Pedy, with almost all of our travel on good sealed roads. (There’s just the occasional little bit of dirt road to special attractions). This tour also includes a flight over Lake Eyre, flying out from Coober Pedy. The tour travels from the 6th to the 12th of August.

Both tours are combined departures, so whether you live on the south coast or in the Adelaide area we would love to have you along!
