The Pilbara covers an area of over 500,000km2 and extends inland from Broome. It came to people’s attention through the movie Red Dog, which showed off its incredible scenery. Although the region is well known for iron ore mines, the Pilbara is much more diverse. There is stunning, pristine coastline, rugged and dramatic outback country, awe-inspiring rock formations and spectacular natural beauty.

The towns of the Pilbara and Coral Coast all have their own unique character, and the area is host to some incredible experiences. We meet dolphins in Monkey Mia, cruise the crystal clear waters of World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef and take in the stunning vistas of Kalbarri, suspended above the Murschison River on the Skywalk. All ‘bucket list’ items for sure!

With such a large region, we’ve carefully planned our tour to ensure we see it in comfort. We fly into Broome and tour the Plibara and Coral Coast over serveral days, with a number of two night stays along the way before arriving in Perth. Travelling from 24 August to 7 September, this is one of our ‘winter warmers’ you won’t want to miss! Read the detailed itinerary to be inspired.
