Would you like to see world’s largest animals – the Southern Right Whale?

We have released dates for our Whales tour in 2023. This five day journey is always a favourite and books out quickly, so you will need to call us early if you are wanting to join our tour.

SA is fortunate to have one of the few locations where it is guaranteed to see whales at the right time of year. The Head of the Great Australian Bight is a breeding and nursery location for this magnificent creature. Every winter they leave cold Antarctic waters for the relative warmth of the Bight where they breed, birth and bring up their calves before returning to Antarctica.

We have a fabulous opportunity to observe the whales and early indications suggest that 2023 will be one of the best seasons in a number of years!

The geography of the Bight is perfect, with the Bunda Cliffs dropping vertically into the ocean. Next to the cliffs where the viewing platforms are, the water is relatively deep, so we are wonderfully close to the whales as they cruise gently past. Make sure you join us on our five day adventure to the Head of the Bight travelling from 10 to 14 August.
